Happy Deepavali

Happy Deepavali to our Indian friends.

Deepavali means a festival of lights and the Indians believe that the lights signify the victory of goods over evil within every human beings.

My school will also be celebrating Deeparaya this week.... we are happy that its another holiday for us.. yipee...!!!!

We are fortunate to live in a multi racial country and get to experience the various festivities celebrated by the different races.. It is important that we respect the beliefs and cultures of the various races so that we can live in peace and harmony.

K2 Graduation

Sis 2 says : I have finally graduated and next year I will be joining my older siblings in primary school.

I was almost not able to attend the K2 graduation at Singapore Poly. Tears welled up my eyes when I was told to stay at home and mum to observe me. That will mean I will not be able to attend the dance practice. But mum noticed that I was extremely sad. She informed the school that I was actually not sick and will be able to attend school. I do not want to miss the graduation day and finally managed to join in the dance despite a short practice with my classmates.....It was fun and at the same time sad that I will be leaving my friends whom most will not be in the same school as me!

I would like to thank my K2 teacher Mdm Sapiah who has taught us not only words and numbers but also hands on learning such as baking and constructing 'future homes' with cardboards and not to forget the various visits such as the old age home and others. Most importantly, our teachers had instill in us to be a more confident person and a believe that we can do well ....!

Exam Fever

Sis 1 says : There are many things that made us feverish....

this week starts our exams - both school and madrasah... with the main subjects of Math, English and Science..not to forget our madrasah... sirah and akhlak... not an easy topics though.. (sigh)

but mum always advise us that both exams are equally important.. Our faith will guide us to be a better person and success in education will give us a better future...we have to be disciplined and manage our time well and with God's willing we will be able to weather these challenges..:)

Bro2 just couldn't sit still . He was standing on the chair / sitting under the chair and other acrobatic acts on the chair except sitting on it :) perhaps he ate too much kuih raya!

Sis 1 and myself went for TKD grading.. and then freshen up in the car and change to our raya attire to visit open houses, fill up our empty stomach and 'bermaafan'
